India wins first Gold in Chess Olympiad

India, the country where chess originated, won the first-ever gold medal in the Chess Olympiad and created history.  It was the first time that the chess olympiad had been conducted online due to the pandemic COVID-19. It was the joint win by India and Russia announced by the International Chess Federation(FIDE) because of network interruption and technical glitches.
