North Macedonia becomes 30th country of NATO

NATO stands for the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. It is an intergovernmental military and defence alliance, headquartered at Brussels in Belgium. Any European country willing to undertake the commitments and obligations of membership and contribute to security in the Euro-Atlantic area can join NATO. NATO’s strength has increased from 12 to 30 since 1949. North Macedonia has become the latest member (30th country) of NATO.
