Russia is banned from Olympics

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has imposed a ban on Russia from playing in all the prominent sports events for the next four years.

The ban implies that the flag of Russia and its Anthem will not be permitted at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics & Paralympics, 2022 Football World Cup in Qatar, and Winter Olympics in Beijing. However, the athletes who prove that they are not involved in any doping scandal can compete without their country’s flag. The ban was handed to Russia in a meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Russian government officials, including the prime minister, are barred from attending any of these sports events.
