Skillioma is an all in one platform for children where parents can be worry free and hands free in terms of imparting holistic knowledge and skills beyond school. We realized that there isn’t one reliable resource or extra-curricular activity that can “do-it-all” for their student’s success. Our uniquely created framework maps more into the future skills that a child needs once he/she passes out of high school and when the child actually enters the real world. However, a few of the course subjects from across boards do match in terms of topics. For example, we have content for young entrepreneurs on practical advice on how to start an enterprise. Likewise, you will have syllabus that has topic on “what is an enterprise,” from your Entrepreneurship subject at school. This is an example of when and how we might overlap with school syllabus. Subjects in high school such as Business Studies, Enterprise, Global Perspectives and Economics, may have some synching with our content. But, please remember; the way we craft the content and explain is through examples, images, comparison charts, internal linking and not in presented in a text book style.

No, this is not a video course. But we have a combination of online workshops and content based learning.

Certificate plan consists of a fully integrated learning process which includes content based learning, study plans, online workshops, personal mentor and a completion certificate.

Monthly plans are purely content based learning which is independent learning. The user can learn from any of our 400+ articles related to career skills, leadership skills, marketing and business skills,entrepreneurship skills. The user will also be having access to 2000+ vocabulary words and 900+ quiz questions.

Our focus isn’t like academic curriculum. We have an engaging framework and we recommend 30 minutes a day or 2-3 hours a week minimum to reap a lot of benefits the platform offers.

Interest Level is the recommended grade level from a title/article perspective. The recommendation is done based on the complexity level of the subject in general and not necessarily the reading level of a child. For example, if an article is slated for Grades 9-12+, our recommendation for the minimum grade level is 9, but that does not limit a child in Grade 8 to learn something higher.

Yes, there are two levels in the Money and Entrepreneurship section- one is basic and the other is advanced. In our website, the basic level is slated under Grades 6-7+ and the advanced level is slated under Grades 9-12+.

If a subject is complex in its nature, we will simplify it and put it under grades 6-7+. However, this is only a recommendation; if a person who is above this grade level does not know anything about the subject at hand, they can search on the grade level 6-7+ and learn the basics before moving on. The intention for the levels in this category is to help build knowledge for a child at any level.

Please note that for the launch we are trying to build the foundation on the concepts that we feel are necessary for a child in the real world. We cater to three levels, middle, high and college+. We believe in starting early to reap maximum benefits as the real world is completely different from the school or college academic learning.

For middle and high school students, we suggest they read for 20 minutes a day or 2 hours a week independently. Independent reading helps the student reduce stress levels, develop thinking power, build general knowledge and helps them to perform better in school.

Absolutely. Annual certificate plan is exclusively designed for those people that are otherwise technically strong and losing their career growth due to lack of communication skills. This is an integrated wholesome framework, proven, tried and tested, rigorous plan that will enhance your communication skills along with all other skills drastically if you follow the study plan, assignments diligently.

This plan is extremely beneficial for everyone including college students that are trying for internships or fresher jobs as they will have a great head start to their career.

Currently in India, the vaccination drive is only for people above 45+. About 3 percent of India’s population has been fully vaccinated with the two doses of vaccine. There are 9.2 percent of the people who have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Once there are sufficient vaccines in supply, the remaining population will be vaccinated.

In the beginning, the Indian government had announced for people above the age of 45 being eligible for the vaccination. The vaccination drive has 2 doses. On May 1st, 2021, the vaccination was made available to the 18+ age group. But due to shortage of the vaccine in India, the 18+ drive had to be stopped. So currently India is inoculating people above 45.

The vaccine drive for the 18+ was stopped due to an insufficient supply of the vaccinations. There was excess demand and not enough vaccines to support these drives. Now, they are focusing on vaccinating the 45+ population in totality.

The government has extended the time interval between the two doses of vaccine from six weeks to eight weeks for the 45+ age category. In the interim, the government has asked to increase the production of vaccines and meet the demand with sufficient supply. Once this is achieved, the vaccination drive for 18+ age categories will be reopened.

The health ministry of the Indian government said that the active covid cases in India have been declining while the number of recovered patients has increased. As the rate of infection is increasing, the testing drives for covid virus infection are also increasing.

Recent reports about the Indian covid cases suggest that the daily positivity rate dropped to 16.98 percent. The union health ministry also said that the declining trend in the positivity rate is observed and that 10 states in India account for 70.94 percent of the new recoveries.

The number of positive cases and death rate of the covid patients is likely to be higher than the count provided by the authorities. Many deaths in rural areas are unregistered so we are unable to track down the count of the exact death toll.

The average rate of death is 4,077 per day. The death rate had increased due to the lack of oxygen cylinders, beds, and other medical problems in the hospitals. However, now that situation is being taken care of with a sufficient supply of medical facilities.

As of now, India is battling with the second wave of coronavirus. Experts have predicted the possibility of a third wave, however, nothing is confirmed. Several countries have already witnessed the fourth wave of Covid-19.

Experts say that the third wave is inevitable given the higher levels of circulating virus but it is not clear on what time scale this phase three will occur. The experts advised that the only way to reduce this vulnerability was through maintaining safety precautions and vaccination.

India is the second most affected country in the world. Due to the second wave of coronavirus, there is a rapid increase in positive cases and deaths in India. Many states are affected due to this pandemic situation.

Listing the most affected states of India;

Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Delhi have suffered more than the others. Among all these states Maharashtra tops the list of most Coronavirus–affected states in India with the highest number of active cases and deaths due to covid 19.

According to the current rate, India will take 2.5 years to vaccinate 75% of its population. As of now, the government is providing vaccines only for people above age 45 only 3 percent of the population has been vaccinated.

The shortage of vaccines is one of the reasons behind the delayed timelines. The two main vaccine manufacturers of the covid vaccine are Covishieled and Covaxin. India has also allowed the import of foreign-made vaccines such as Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson, and even recently the Russian vaccine Sputnik V has also been approved for emergency use.

We are happy to hear that. Skillioma is ‘beyond school subjects’ which means whatever you are covering as critical thinking or interdisciplinary aspects would not be touched by Skillioma. We are only focused on real world aspects, and we ensure each student at their grade/class level is fully versed with the real world skills so they are able to practically apply the learnings in their higher studies, internships and jobs and elsewhere in life.

There is definitely an overlap with core subjects knowledge or topics covered at school but we don’t necessarily focus on mapping our content to the core subjects at your school(all boards).
However, we integrate all real world aspects into any skill. For example, if you have enrolled your school students in a financial literacy skill subject, you would see full integration with marketing, business, economics, banking, domain knowledge, current affairs wherever necessary based on the topic. The goal of Skillioma is to empower the kids of today with the tools necessary for them to excel in the real world and focus on things that are not otherwise covered as part of school syllabus.

Our goal is to save time for the school and teachers and not ask to spend extra time to implement Skillioma’s programs. Skillioma’s in-house team will take care of seamless implementation, creating logins, grading assignments, answering questions from the school and the students, and sending tracking reports. The only ask from Skillioma from school is to assign a teacher monitor who will just encourage any students that are unable to submit assignments in time.

Yes, our content is fully aligned to CBSE skill based subject’s content based on the grade level. Our content is for the student’s learning process rather than text book based teaching content. The student is fully engaged in the content and the process of self learning which teaches them to be independent, confident, smart and successful. The school does not have to hire any teachers to do the actual teaching of the skill based subjects and this can save time and cost.

Skillioma is all about bridging the gap between education and employment. Yes, we do agree that students of today are very busy and burdened with the school’s syllabus. However, that alone isn’t doing every good necessary for them to embark on the success journey.
