Indian Super League, the league which changed the face of football, has survived in a country like India where Cricket is considered as a religion. It drew the attention of the millions since its commencement and recognised by Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in 2017-18. Now it has ten teams and is being conducted for five months a year.

It is intended to provide a high-quality football league that engages hundreds of millions of fans and improves playing standards. Its vision is directed at making India qualify for 2026 FIFA World Cup. The league’s resolve to invest in stadium refurbishment in the ten recognised venues and also to a strong grassroots development programme will build a platform to tailor football talent in the country.
