Violent protests across the United States (US) were sparked due to the death of 46-year George Floyd, an African-American, who was a victim of police brutality. The incident took place in Minneapolis in the state of Minnesota, the US on May 25, 2020.

Since then, the entire nation has been under unrest for the first time in 50 years. Thousands of protestors came to the streets demanding justice for George Floyd. He is survived by his 6-year-old daughter who lives with her mother in Houston, Texas.

Is this the straw that broke the camel’s back? Let’s look back into American history to understand this situation better!
